Source cards show the state of every connected source. Whether they also let you act on a source depends on where you are looking from and on your role.
This page uses the default pillar names. If your organization has renamed a pillar, read “Data” as whatever your organization calls it. The rules do not change with the label.

Where cards are interactive

  • Source Management in the Data pillar. Cards carry action icons, the detail panel carries an action chip, and the Add Source button is available. You need to hold the Data pillar to open this console.
  • Everywhere else. Cards on Vantages, the Processing console, and pipeline mapping views are read-only status indicators. They show the same state and hint text, without action icons.

Actions by role

Within the Data pillar, the role you hold in the organization decides which actions you can trigger. An admin or owner who does not hold the Data pillar cannot open Source Management, so they see none of these actions until the pillar is granted. See Pillars.

Uploaded sources

On uploaded sources, a single Re-upload action replaces the sync and reconnect icons, and any Data pillar member can trigger it. Reprocess scoping is unchanged.
