Before you start
- A source is connected and its first processing run has finished. The card reads Mapping source fields and then Building golden records while that happens.
- You hold the Data pillar. See Pillars.
- Your organization has an active AI provider. Columns no dictionary recognizes are sent to it once.
Open the console
1
Go to Golden Layer
From the Data pillar, open Golden Layer. Sources are on the left, the model on the right, and the mapping runs between them as curves.
2
Check completeness
The Complete figure is the share of the model that at least one source feeds. Click a node in the map, such as Account or Deal, to see which attributes are filled and which are still dashed.
3
Open Needs you
The Needs you list holds the decisions only a person can make: proposed mappings that need confirming, collisions between two columns, and columns carrying data that reach nothing.
4
Review with the agent
Click Review with the agent on the source. A chat thread opens with the source’s findings. Tell it what each column should feed, or decline the ones that should not map. It stages your decisions without writing anything.
5
Approve and rebuild
An owner or admin approves the staged set from the console and clicks Rebuild now. The source is reprocessed with your corrections, and the golden record updates.
What you get
Every console downstream reads the golden record you just reviewed: Accounts, Pipeline, the command centers, Vantages, and the chat. When you connect a second source, it maps onto the same model, and identity resolution groups the two sources’ mentions of one customer into one resolved company.Golden Layer guide
